Is wellness tracking required?

No. Wellness check-ins are completely optional. You can use AssureOkay's safety check-in features without ever engaging with wellness tracking. It's there when you want it, completely invisible when you don't.

Is this a replacement for therapy or medical care?

No. Wellness check-ins are designed to help you track patterns and gain insights, but they are not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you're experiencing a mental health crisis or need clinical support, please contact a licensed professional or call a crisis hotline.

Who can see my wellness data?

By default, only you can see your wellness responses and insights. You have complete control over what (if anything) is shared with your emergency contacts. You can share high-level mood insights, weekly summaries, pattern alerts, or individual responses—or share nothing at all.

How does the AI conversation work?

After selecting your mood emoji, you can optionally engage in a brief conversation with an AI companion. The AI adapts its approach based on your emotional state—offering support when you're down, celebrating when you're up, and providing a non-judgmental space to explore your feelings. Conversations are brief (typically 2-5 messages) but can be as short or long as you prefer.

What kind of insights will I get?

Our AI analyzes your wellness patterns to provide personalized insights such as: mood trends over time, potential triggers or contributing factors, activities or habits that correlate with positive or negative moods, early detection of concerning patterns (like repeated low moods), and recommendations for self-care or professional support when appropriate.

Can I skip wellness check-ins sometimes?

Yes! Wellness check-ins are optional every time they appear. You can complete your safety check-in without engaging with wellness tracking whenever you prefer. You can also adjust the frequency in settings to show wellness prompts less often.

How is my wellness data stored?

All wellness data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. We use bank-level security practices to protect your information. Your detailed responses are stored securely and are never shared with third parties. Only anonymized, aggregated data may be used to improve our AI models.
